Its been a very long time since Ive posted an update here. Ive moved to Montreal to work as an Animator at Gameloft. I work on the cinematics team, Ive been there for 2 weeks and its really awesome. Montreal is a beautiful city with lots to do. The public transportation here is go great, I dont have to drive to work anymore which is fantastic. Its taken me 3 weeks of being here for things to start getting back to normal. So the last I posted was the first week of this class, and as we sit now I have 2 weeks left to work on my 2 person dialogue shot. I will post my finished 1 person shot and then my reference and where I currently am with my latest shot.

Wow Class 5 Already “Advanced Acting” it really does seem like I just started this school but here we are. So in this class we take the shot from last class and start working on the face. I did a pass this week on it and I think its going well. This coming week Im going to get deeper into it. We are gonna start packing soon for the big move up to Montreal. A very exciting time indeed. Also my new mentor this term is Mr Greg Kyle http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0477379/ He currently works at Laika in Portland, they worked on Coraline there, one of my favorite animated movies. So I think we will get along great. So enjoy.

Its official Im going to be a professional Animator. I’ve accepted a position at Gameloft Montreal on the Cinematics team. For those of you that don’t know Cinematics are the little movies in video games that move the story along. AWESOME. After a year of being in school I already have a job. Im very excited about this and I hope all goes well. My wife and I have started learning French and that is one hard language. Ive been up to my eyeballs lately with trying to learn a new software and finishing up class 4. We finished the body for my first dialogue shot and in this next class we are gonna tackle the face. This next class may be the hardest yet because we are going to be moving in the next few weeks 1200 miles away from home. It should be a very thrilling adventure indeed.
